Sunday Morning Posts

Ok – so if this is what I need to do to start moving through the fear of really putting my work/ideas out into the public – this is what I will do.  There has been much resistance to blogging – why?  because I don’t really want to share “everything” with the WORLD — I need to protect myself is what my head is telling me.

Lately – my heart has been saying – “what needs to be protected?”    The more that I am getting involved with the ever growing and always inspiring me spiritual/creative community in Savannah -the more I am feeling VULNERABLE!      I am not afraid to admit that it’s SCARY!     I don’t think it’s scary because I am unable to make a commitment to a relationship.   I’m releasing this old limiting belief RIGHT NOW – and OUT LOUD.     There is so much LOVE RIGHT NOW in SAVANNAH and so many people who are willing to take the ACTION to expand this community so more of us can feel the joy of being a Heart-Centered Human.     I am one of these people.   I am a person.   Because I am a person – I will continue to have human qualities that can sometimes bog me down.

red love knifeDo I need to let them bog me down?   Do I need to let others words/actions TRIGGER me to feel bad or DOUBT myself?   Do I want to feel good being me 24/7?    Am I willing to let go of thinking I know what I need all of the time?   LOTS OF QUESTIONS GOING THROUGH MY BRAIN … and really the only thing I want to be moving through my BODY IS LOVE.    and that’s what feels really good right now … is the fact that I’m exploring more of how to truly live my spiritual self in the present moment as a human being.   My life is filled with so much love.    This is why I want to blog – to share that we might be having some crazy ass thoughts/ideas passing through our minds right now – however, keep reminding yourself – this is just part of the process.   You have the choice on how to use these thoughts.

WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING THIS WEEK IS – I’m going to be giving a 30 minute speech this weekend at the HonestlyWell.com expo in Savannah.    WOW>

I think its finally hitting me that I’m about to stand up and share my feelings & ideas about how Magic Passion Love– it’s a little wow! Very grateful to be getting to know more of the amazing heart community here … this Honestly Well is an opportunity for all of us to see how it feels to work with one another.

How we can expand our “spiritual businesses” together all the while being true to our personal unique gifts. How are we sharing love with the world? If we truly let ourselves share our LOVE – everything we desire appears.

trusting that everything is going to work out for our highest good is so important right now.

Open Letter to Art Rise

Good morning – since everyone seems to love “READING” Sinead’s Open letter to Miley – I thought I’d love to write an open letter to a few young people that I know as well!

This letter goes out to all of the vendors who showed up Friday night, to set up in the AHA Sanctuary to create a sacred marketplace.  Talk about bringing MEANING into the Marketplace – the products they are selling are varied from  Raw Spirolina Bars, Tea Elixirs, Crystals, home made journals, wire/stone jewelry and Humble Love soaps & lotions.    I mention Humble Love because this represents what all of us seem to embrace … we are humbled to be discovering each other.  I am very proud and inspired to begin collaborating with all of you to expand our heart community.

The (he)art community is rising here – you can feel it rising at every 1st Friday Art March.    We are so GRATEFUL for the ART MARCH SAVANNAH heart — Clinton, Lauren & Steven.  Seriously – YOU GUYS ROCK!    Your vision of creating an art market that supports & sustains the artists and their community is a beautiful vision.   A vision that I share and am so interested in collaborating with you!    This is a vision that I’ve been holding for a very long time and it feels really good to actually see my inspired vision coming true.   It also is a little overwhelming.    I believe that the overwhelming part is part of the process of when you create what we are creating with the Art March, Art Rising, Anahata Healing Arts as well as our own personal work.    Take a breath. Ask for hugs.  We are all feeling the expansion.  It’s new feeling.  It’s a feeling to celebrate.  Be gentle with yourself.  Then remember to collaborate!

It’s the collaboration part that comes in very HANDY.  As I feel our collaboration beginning, I have started to feel a “weight” being lifted off me.    I don’t have to do everything all myself.   There are others who feel the same way about co-creating abundance as a team.    Sharing the abundance and the work – this is such a healthier & MORE ENJOYABLE way to live!      I want to ENJOY my life … I want YOU TO ENJOY YOUR LIFE TOO!

So why the open letter – because I want to share with others that there are people out there who are taking ACTION in their own hands to create prosperous & thriving opportunities.  For those people who are interested in being nice, respectful, and open hearted.    It’s time for us to let go of what doesn’t work and take risks.   It’s time for us to trust our hearts to guide us to collaborate with people who live from their heart.

What does Living from your heart mean  – to me, it means your actions express your values.   It means your words express loving thoughts/feelings.  It means you forgive yourself for being human as well as having compassion for everyone!    We all have a heart – and they can beat together.

In conclusion – waking up on this lovely Saturday in Anahata Healing Arts – I danced in the Sanctuary.  I could feel your energy rising … this is the power we have when we are collaborating – our collective energy is stronger our physical selves.     This is really cool!

Keep sharing your Magic Passion Love – the world needs your wow!

from my heart to yours,

Joanne

PS:  thank you Maggie & Clinton for inspiring & encouraging me to blog.  Gratitude is MAGIC!

Something is shifting…

Well, I am writing my first blog post in my new home … actually on a lease and have utilities in my name. This is the first time since I left my East Village home that I have my own space! It feels really surreal. I have moved around so much in the past few years, it really hasn’t sunk in that I have a place I can finally set down roots with room to grow! It feels so good to have been patient with finding a place to live & work because as I’ve come to understand, things appear in DIVINE TIMING! You can’t rush time … I’ve also learned so much about being patient. These lessons and other ones I hope to share with others. You see the best part about my new home is that is also the home to three other women. Together we are co-creating the Anahata Healing Arts intentional community!!

On the MPL-USA Art Tour – I had the opportunity to meet so many amazing communities that I knew I wanted to be a part of one. When I returned to Savannah and re-connected with Lynn Geddes, we both discovered that we have similar dreams of what kind of “tribe” we wish to be a part of. Then we started talking about how we can grow our businesses and realized that if we were to combine resources, we would be able to expand. We began looking for space and the space at 2424 Drayton appeared to us. It is a GIFT from the Universe! This is what I’ve been working for ever since I heard the words, “MAGIC PASSION LOVE”.

For this is the space where, I create art, I offer “re-energizing sessions”, I host events/parties, I offer people places to stay, I share meals, I connect local businesses with the creative community and where WE Co-Create & Channel Positive Energy!

It feels so good …. and then I remember what my New York City (& surrounding areas!!) are experiencing right now. How I feel for them and wish I could wave a wand to make the cold weather stop. How do you feel so good when others are experiencing some really crappy stuff… you feel good and send that energy to them. Its what we have to do – we are all exactly where we are supposed to be. Sometimes that is not the easiest thing to accept …. BUT …. resisting will only stop the flow of LOVE. Its’ the flow of LOVE that will help the recovery process. Its the flow of LOVE that will warm the hearts of everyone … and with warm hearts comes more LIGHT! Out of the darkness, there is always light …

This Sunday, I’m excited to participate in the “DO AS ONE” @ 5pm (est) Unite with Brothers & Sisters from around the planet for One Day: a new Global Holiday celebrating ONENESS! “FROM THE HEART DANCING” will begin at 4pm – then at 5pm, we will breathe together for 11 minutes in the Universal Breathing Room on DoAsOne.org. While breathing as one human family we will envision the world we wish to create. How wonderful is this going to be!!

I invite you to come to the “HAPPENINGS @ AHA” (anahata healing arts = aha) – there is going to be YOGA classes taught by some of Savannah’s awesome yoga teachers hand picked by Yoga Me Fit’s Lynn Geddes. as well as weekly community feasts, manifesting circles and much much more!

AND … if you want to know another reason why I’m in a bit of a dazed state – this is a video I took of my apartment the day I gave back the keys – below is a picture of the kitchen with the huge studio next to it! I am feeling very abundant … and it feels good to share this!

Come dance with me on SUNDAY!

10-11-12 Trickydame Thursday Thoughts ….

WOW – what a fun day for numbers this is! Tonight is the LOCAL FLAVOR ART SHOW! Pics will be up later –and I want to share my Art Show Statement.

My intention to curate & host an art show is I am committed to connect local business with the creative community to co-create positive abundant energy with LOCAL FLAVOR! We are living in such an interesting time and have so many opportunities if we choose to accept them. I choose to. I am also excited to work with others who choose to be a part of a thriving and sustainable community and they are here tonight! Who are they? They are, The Artists, the Musician, the Local Business, the Community Organization and YOU!
If you are interested in co-creating other fun events, please say “hey” and contact me.
I look forward to co-creating with you …
From my heart,

GRATITUDE IS MAGIC
I am so grateful to Lowcountry Gourmet Food for allowing their space to exhibit the show. Owners, Kathie Burnsed & Robb Campbell have been wonderful to work with. I enjoy working with successful business owners and these two are. They have an honest working relationship where they each use their skills & talents to run the business. They are extremely generous & fair to their employees – you can feel the respect and it is very appreciated! Asst mgr, Pam has my gratitude too! They work with their local merchants and are members of the Chamber of Commerce and host a booth at the Visitors Center to welcome tourists to town. Plus, they have a prosperous thriving business that offers the public a wonderful product. The Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar is “TO DIE FOR!” Please, taste and enjoy … Bottles make a great holiday gift!!

Some of the artists here tonight are represented by Dragonfly Studio on Tybee Island, and they are; Denise Elliot-Vernon, Carol Taylor, Gertrude Palmer, Brad Hook, Linda Erzinger, James Russell May, Sandy Leinbach and Jonathan Poirier. This work was selected by gallery manager Denise Vernon and myself…and hung with the help of Carol Taylor. We chose these artists because we felt their worked represented LOCAL FLAVOR. Lowcountry Gourmet Food is a “tasting room” and we wanted the art to reflect how one might see See, Feel, Touch & Taste “Local Flavor”. The art work such, as “Peppers, Onions & Garlic and Grapes” were included for being beautiful representation of our food. Collage artist, Linda Erzingner’s abstract “Harvest Collages” express images how flavor feels. “Autumn in the Country” is what Local Flavor is all about; sitting in the back yard enjoying the crisp air under the warm sun! Of course we had to include Carol Taylor’s “Oil & Vinegar” as well as John Poirer’s “Hand blown Oil/Vinegar Bottles” – touch them.

Choosing a Community Organization is always difficult because there are so many wonderful people doing great things here. However, I will be honest that I had a selfish reason for inviting Mollie Lieberman & Loop It Up Savannah to be a part of the Local Flavor. I wanted to get to know them and begin to work with them! I’m very inspired by the children & their parents who are involved with Loop It Up Savannah – this is how we co-create thriving & sustainable communities, allow our children to CREATE! Much gratitude for Miss Mollie and everyone at Loop It Up Savannah for the work you do!

Finally, a big GRATEFUL HUG to Jimmy Wolling for coming into to town tonight to play for us. He’s amazing. Enjoy! Here’s a video from when he played at the Dragonfly.
Sept 1st Friday 2012

Angels are getting louder …

Today is International Angel Day – I saw a post on Facebook, love sharing positive info via FB. I found myself feeling relaxed and happy, as this was pretty cool to be spending my Sunday cleaning, and relaxing around the house while the room mates are out of town knowing that people every where were honoring our Angels.

I went to the local market to get some spinach, cherry tomatoes & yes, two sausage biscuit (I enjoy them every once in awhile, I am in the south!) … anyways, if I hadn’t followed my “desire” to have them, I wouldn’t have received my first ANGEL MESSAGE Through NUMBERS! My total for my purchases was $7.77. Both myself and the cashier lit up when we saw this happen.

In Doreen Viture’s (see below about Doreen) Book “Angel Numbers 101“, she shares Angel messages through numbers. Here’s what it says about 777…

Pretty SPOT on for me as I continue to move forward in my intention to be a full time, well paid professional artist who works with cool people living their spiritual purpose and committed to co-creating abundance so we may all thrive. I continue to attract wonderful creative people & opportunities to me! KEEP SAYING YOUR AFFIRMATIONS – write them down anywhere & everywhere (in your wallet, on your walls/mirrors, you car, make Affirmation Art!

Because when you do – it helps “Re-Train Your Brain” to be aware of Angel Messages — my 2nd message for the day was 1;11. I paused the movie I was watching The Social Network – talk about synchronicity! Wasn’t it Facebook that reminded me that it was International Angel Day!! Look where the film stopped…

“This number brings you the urgent message that your thoughts are manifesting instantly, so keep your mind-set focused upon your desires. Give any fearful thoughts to Heaven for transmutation.”

WOW! I’m taking a breath after typing this!

Thousands of people around the globe will be invoking the angels’ love and healing in order to raise a huge light for world peace, and enlightenment.

Powerful energies will be available to us to boost our vibrations to much higher levels, and to bring healing, love and compassion.

I can really feel the vibration a lot easier these days – I am really stepping out of some of my old comfort zones and TRUSTING MY INTUITION. Not to say that it’s not sometimes scary or I don’t feel like a dork, however, I know that it is safe to Trust in the flow of love. Friday night, I met some really special people who are following their own intuition … and by them doing this, all of us are taking our Responsibility of being a part of the Conscious Human Evolution – kinda awesome, isn’t it!!

There are a lot of ways to get in touch with others online — just GOOGLE –

Something to remember

I get the daily emails from THE DAILY LOVE – totally inspiring on so many levels! One that fact that Mastin Kipp writes every day is truly a constant reminder, that if you are a writer than you must write! I also love all of his quotes and links to other people’s blogs … perhaps one day I might be more of a consistent blogger but until then, I will use this blog as a way to remind me what inspires me.

This is from his July 11, 2012 Blog .. http://thedailylove.com/todays-quotes-rules-for-being-human/

Top Ten Rules for Being Human

Rule One – You will receive a body. Whether you love it or hate it, it’s yours for life, so accept it. What counts is what’s inside.

Rule Two – You will be presented with lessons. Life is a constant learning experience, which every day provides opportunities for you to learn more. These lessons are specific to you, and learning them ‘is the key to discovering and fulfilling the meaning and relevance of your own life’.

Rule Three – There are no mistakes, only lessons. Your development towards wisdom is a process of experimentation, trial and error, so it’s inevitable things will not always go to plan or turn out how you’d want. Compassion is the remedy for harsh judgment – of ourselves and others. Forgiveness is not only divine – it’s also ‘the act of erasing an emotional debt’. Behaving ethically, with integrity, and with humour – especially the ability to laugh at yourself and your own mishaps – are central to the perspective that ‘mistakes’ are simply lessons we must learn.

Rule Four – The lesson is repeated until learned. Lessons repeat until learned. What manifest as problems and challenges, irritations and frustrations are more lessons – they will repeat until you see them as such and learn from them. Your own awareness and your ability to change are requisites of executing this rule. Also fundamental is the acceptance that you are not a victim of fate or circumstance – ‘causality’ must be acknowledged; that is to say: things happen to you because of how you are and what you do. To blame anyone or anything else for your misfortunes is an escape and a denial; you yourself are responsible for you, and what happens to you. Patience is required – change doesn’t happen overnight, so give change time to happen.

Rule Five – Learning does not end. While you are alive there are always lessons to be learned. Surrender to the ‘rhythm of life’, don’t struggle against it. Commit to the process of constant learning and change – be humble enough to always acknowledge your own weaknesses, and be flexible enough to adapt from what you may be accustomed to, because rigidity will deny you the freedom of new possibilities.

Rule Six – “There” is no better than “here”. The other side of the hill may be greener than your own, but being there is not the key to endless happiness. Be grateful for and enjoy what you have, and where you are on your journey. Appreciate the abundance of what’s good in your life, rather than measure and amass things that do not actually lead to happiness. Living in the present helps you attain peace.

Rule Seven – Others are only mirrors of you. You love or hate something about another person according to what love or hate about yourself. Be tolerant; accept others as they are, and strive for clarity of self-awareness; strive to truly understand and have an objective perception of your own self, your thoughts and feelings. Negative experiences are opportunities to heal the wounds that you carry. Support others, and by doing so you support yourself. Where you are unable to support others it is a sign that you are not adequately attending to your own needs.

Rule Eight – What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. Take responsibility for yourself. Learn to let go when you cannot change things. Don’t get angry about things – bitter memories clutter your mind. Courage resides in all of us – use it when you need to do what’s right for you. We all possess a strong natural power and adventurous spirit, which you should draw on to embrace what lies ahead.

Rule Nine – Your answers lie inside of you. Trust your instincts and your innermost feelings, whether you hear them as a little voice or a flash of inspiration. Listen to feelings as well as sounds. Look, listen, and trust. Draw on your natural inspiration.

Rule Ten – You will forget all this at birth. We are all born with all of these capabilities – our early experiences lead us into a physical world, away from our spiritual selves, so that we become doubtful, cynical and lacking belief and confidence. The ten Rules are not commandments, they are universal truths that apply to us all. When you lose your way, call upon them. Have faith in the strength of your spirit. Aspire to be wise – wisdom the ultimate path of your life, and it knows no limits other than those you impose on yourself.

Clouds –
Past merging into present looking into the future
Nothing feels the same
Nothing feels in synch
Yet
Everything feels exactly right
Everything has the ability to feel good
Everything comes back to love … real honest to goodness love

Do I have the courage to love?

Some days I don’t know…and some days I am 100% sure I do have the courage to love.
Is this what I’m going to be feeling for the rest of my life?
Who knows?
Does it really matter?
Don’t we just need to Remember how it feels that 100% moment.

Clouds reminded me of this today.

now what?

The day is just beginning – some things are planned – lots of things are not … the project is still my passion – I have faith that everything is working out for my highest good …

I believe in the power of Magic Passion Love … and curious to see what will manifest today!

YAY!

Solidarity with Occupy

Last September when the Occupy Wall Street started in Zuccotti Park, I, like many others, was very intrigued and excited about a new uprising in political consciousness in the US. I call it a consciousness because that’s what it started, thoughts about what can/could be done to create change so that we may have a thriving, sustainable and evolving world.

Like so many of the other 99%, I see injustice in the form of intolerance happening across the country (world) to so many different kinds of people. Like so many of the 99%, I believe in the American Dream and I am willing to do the work it takes to achieve my goals. I believe it is still possible which is why I’ve made the choice to travel around the county to meet others who also believe in the American Dream. The American Dream belongs to the entire world – not just people born as a US citizen.

My dream is to be able to live my life using my skills & talents and having my needs met while enjoying my life with the people I love & being able to contribute to my community. Is this the American Dream that everyone shares, maybe not the specifics. Call me an idealist to want to believe that this is a lot of people’s dream. You can also call me a realist because I also believe that there are some people who are afraid of truly experiencing love and fear being vulnerable so they act out in aggressive & demeaning ways to others (i.e. politicians who attack women’s healthcare). The interesting part about being human in this world, we have a choice on how to act, think and feel. For the record, I am Pro-Choice and feel everyone has the right to make their own choices and take responsibility for the consequences of those choices.

For so long, we have allowed a few to gain power over the way we make choices and how we communicate to each other. So many of the 99% have lost the power (& desire) to think for themselves. There are a lot of people on this planet and somehow we have allowed the 1% to make the choices for what is best for the 99%. Some of them have been good choices to create societies that offer roads, schools, police & fire departments, stop signs and hospitals – to have a healthy society we need to take care of ourselves. However, the choices to de-fund public schools, to deny people health care when sick, to tax the money we earn for the “HOURS” we work, to make money off our homes, and not tax (allow tax loopholes) to companies that take our money for goods/services, pollute our earth & underpay their workers really are not the best choices for the people of the world.

It is these choices that have made me make the choice to stand in Solidarity with the other 99% who are OCCUPYING.

I love it when I get “get a job” or “crazy liberal” comments on the posts I’ve made about visiting the Occupy sites or from the ones from people in their cars driving by. It still amazes me that people really have lost the ability to think for themselves! People believe what the “produced by the 1% media” are saying about the people who choose to get involved with the Occupy movement.

However, because of what is happening with the Occupy we are getting people to move their minds! This will take time and in the meantime, it is important to remember that to keep the Movement moving there needs to be different things happening. Not everyone has to move in the same way. Some will protest in traditional street actions, while others will get other 99%’rs and go pick up trash. Some will create the websites, while others will bring food to the people who are standing on the streets with the signs.

Free Thinking PEEPS!! For this movement to really grow and gain strength, everyone needs to use their own unique skills & talents. If everyone does a little, no one has to do everything. This is why I am doing what I can by visiting Occupy sites whenever I’m in a city where they are still Occupying. Just because you don’t see them “sitting” outside anymore, don’t think that the Occupy Movement isn’t happening. After all it is a MOVEMENT – not a sitting!!

When the Occupy sites first began, yes, there was a lot of sitting in the parks, the squares, on the steps and sidewalks however, as most of us agree, we can only sit for so long. After awhile, action needs to happen. The first action that happened after the Occupy Wall Street, people in other cities started setting up their own Occupy sites.

This took one person to create a Facebook/Webpage then picked a time to show up & Occupy their local city hall. It didn’t matter if they were the only one standing there because they were answering a call to be in solidarity with Occupy Wall Street. So they went, one by one and guess what happened!?! They met others who also felt the call to join in solidarity.

I’ve been to five Occupy Sites since January 2012, Occupy Savannah, Occupy Jacksonville, Occupy Tallahassee, Occupy Pensacola, and Occupy Austin. There was one day in Savannah, when I brought the signs to the Occupy site. I got there before anyone else arrived so I began to take out the signs. It felt really GOOD to be the part of the 99% who is willing to stand up for all of us, even if I was the only one. It also feels good to meet others who have the courage to Occupy with other people even when your friends don’t come with you.

Arrived at the Occupy Tallahassee, its as cool as the stories I heard…and I’m sleeping here for a few nights! When you go to an Occupy Site, there are is always someone who will come up and welcome you. This is what I’ve love about traveling, knowing that I can find the Occupiers in the city and know I will make friends. In Tallahasse, I didn’t have a place to stay so I went to the OccupyTally site because I heard that they were still camping out. I figured that I could sleep in the “women’s tent”. I set my GPS to the City Hall and I was guided right up to the OccuCamp. I was welcomed and someone even gave me a tent! I ended up staying there for six days because it felt so good to be around people willing to do the work. Yes there is OccuDrama – we are humans – and we can also work beyond our differences.

One of the questions I would ask people I met, “Did you know each other before you came here?” The answer is usually, “No” and “My friends support the Occupy movement but they don’t come to the site.” In fact, another wonderful outcome of the Occupy Savannah is a group of 20-somethings working together with the Retirees United for the Future (Ruffians); they met each other at the site.

It’s such a learning lesson for us who do take the time to go to an Occupy site not to judge the people we love for not taking the time to visit a site. Because we have to learn to stop judging people with our egos. We also have to forgive others and ourselves for creating the mess we have to fix right now. When I say forgive, it doesn’t mean the people/corporations who are polluting our planet, creating unhealthy work environments and under paying their employees don’t need to take responsibility for their actions – they do!

We all have a responsibility to be better world citizens… civic responsibility, social responsibility, and spiritually responsible. If we all do a little, no one has to do everything! It is our responsibility to use our skills & talents to serve the world so it may be here for future generations!!

My intention with Magic Passion Love & my public art project is to work with groups/people to inspire our youth that there is a future worth working for and to give all people opportunity to share positive energy with one another. The world needs more positive energy – we will never rid our planet of painful/negative energy however with more positive energy available, the pain will not be so devastating. One of my beliefs is that there will never be World Peace until more Inner Peace is achieved – and Peace is possible! It’s being manifested right now by all of the people who are adding their Positive Peaceful Intentions on the Mass Manifesting Mobile!

I have a question to ask anyone who wants to criticize the Occupy Movement:

What’s so crazy about wanting to stand up for other people’s right including my own to feel good making a living doing what you enjoy with people you like being around?

What’s so crazy about being respectful & tolerant to other people in all circumstances? What’s so crazy about thinking for yourself and speaking up?

Nothing crazy about this at all.

What’s crazy is allowing yourself to be afraid to get involved with your community and helping the world become more sustainable and abundant for all.

Here’s a video to inspire all of us to OCCUPY!!

this time of year all year long
